Grapevine Baseball & Softball Santa Cops Tournaments

Each year we team up with the Grapevine Santa Cops toy donation program to help collect toys for local families. We ask that each player bring an unwrapped toy as part of tournament fees ($20 value).

This tournament is designed for the true baseball or softball recreational All-Star team. All-Star teams or sanctioned Rec teams are welcome – no club teams or independent teams allowed. No select players allowed, period! This includes players who have guest played on a select roster (USSSA, Travel Sports, Triple Crown, NTX, 24 Sports, etc.) during the current season (starting August 1, 2023).

All teams will play two (2) pool games with a single elimination bracket based on seeding from pool games.

Registration 

This season all registration will go through PlayNCS.com. Coaches will be required to pay a one time $25 sanction fee (discounted from the $75 fee) in addition to the tournament registration fee for their division. During registration, coaches will be asked to complete a background check as a requirement for NCS tournaments. Registration opens Monday, October 2, 2023.

Facility Rules for Grapevine Complexes

• NO METAL CLEATS on any field
• Teams are to remove all of their items from the dugouts and pick up their trash
• No sunflower seeds, spitting or chewing by teams or spectators
• No hanging cameras or other items on the backstop netting

Team Documentation

All teams are required to have team insurance.

– Team rosters are uploaded and submitted by the head coach through the NCS Software by Sunday prior to each tournament.

– Proof of team insurance must be uploaded on your team page on the NCS Software by Sunday prior to each tournament.

Birth certificates must be kept by coaches throughout the tournament and provided to the tournament staff if a protest has been made. Protests can be made at the time of the infraction with a $100 protest fee. If the protest is awarded, the protesting team will get their fee returned to them.

Game/Refund Information

Three game guarantee: two pool games followed by single elimination bracket play

• Awards given to the 1st and 2nd place in each division
• Payments are required in advance

NO REFUND AFTER GAME TIMES ARE POSTED! The $75 administrative fee will not be refunded after the tournament starts. All refunds are determined as follows (Fee minus the $75 administrative divided by game guarantee), any game started counts as a game played.

Full refunds will be given if the tournament is cancelled due to weather before the tournament starts. The NCS sanction fee will not be refunded if tournament is cancelled due to weather.

PAYMENT POLICY: The Event registration fee must be paid to confirm your team’s spot in the tournament. Teams that choose to pay later may be moved to the waitlist if other teams register and pay before them, regardless of when they register.
