As of 4/26/24:
Heritage Park Playground
The Heritage Park playground repair/re-install is currently scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 30. This will include digging out multiple concrete footers, installing new poles and reattaching all the elements. As such, we will be closing the playground early Tuesday morning (full fence closure) and anticipate it will reopen on Friday, (May 3) pending completion of the turf repair after the installation is complete.
Currently there are no new updates for both projects below, they are continuing to move forward, but weather can be a real factor. Both are hoping to be open in the summer.
Snakey Lane:
A full road closure of Snakey Lane will be in place from Silvercrest Lane to Kimball Avenue beginning Thursday, March 14. Crews will conduct necessary work to complete the 2019 infiltration and inflow project to replace the 12” sanitary sewer line.
The portion of C. Shane Wilbanks Trail that follows along Snakey Lane (from the Dove Road trailhead to Snakey Lane and Kimball Road) will remain open to pedestrians.
The anticipated reopening of Snakey Lane is projected for this summer.
This project is managed by our public works engineering department, who may be reached at 817.410.3000.
Parr Park Trail:
🚧 Attention Trail Users! 🚧 Starting Tuesday, February 13, the trail between Parr Park and the intersection south of Heritage and Rosecliff Terrace will be temporarily closed for several weeks. This closure is necessary as we work diligently to transfer everything over to the new TRA pipe. We apologize for the inconvenience. Visit our updates on this project here.
