What are the hours, admission fee, and address? The Gardens are open 7 days a week ½ hour after Sunrise to ½ hour before Sunset (Mitchell House Rental – Till 10 pm) Entry is free unless The Gardens are booked for a pre-scheduled event

What is the best etiquette to practice for visiting the Grapevine Botanical Gardens? Pets are allowed on a leash but are required to stay on pathways. Please clean up after your animals. Stay on paths and walkways, and please supervise the children in your party. Don’t damage the plants; collect seeds; or pick the fruit, leaves or flowers-they are here for everyone to see and enjoy. Walk bikes, skateboards, rollerblades and scooters. Keep strollers and personal property with you at all times.
Is there a restroom and water fountain? Located on the western side of the Bessie Mitchell House exterior, push firmly to open the doors, as they may be a bit resistant. Door handles are automatically locked (6:00 am) and unlocked (10:00 pm).
Can you bring food into the Garden? Yes, we have tables on the Bessie Mitchell House patio and picnic tables at the Heritage Park on the west end of the garden.
How can I rent the Bessie Mitchel House? If interested in renting the Bessie Mitchell House, please visit our webpage or email rentals@grapevinetexas.gov.
What photography is allowed in The Botanical Gardens? We welcome visitor snapshots; individual, family, engagement, and senior class portraits; and other photography or portraiture intended for personal use only. The use of large props and furniture is prohibited. You may utilize any of our benches and chairs for photos, but please do not move them. Please be courteous and respectful to others. Stay on paths and trails. Pathways, roads, or other access areas may not be blocked in any way. Flower beds should not be trampled upon by anyone. Picking flowers is prohibited.
Plant labels and other signs may not be changed or removed. Please limit wardrobe changes to one so as not to occupy public restrooms for an excessive amount of time.

Are wheelchairs or strollers available for rent? No
Can I volunteer at the garden? The garden would not function without the help of our volunteers. For information on volunteer opportunities, please visit GoGrapevine.com/Volunteer.
How do I book a Garden Tour? Minimum 8 visitors required. Choose the Meet and Greet Tour (15 – 20 mins) for a brief history and garden orientation, or opt for the “How Does Your Garden Flow” tour (45 mins – 1 hour) for insights into garden design. Conducted by volunteers apart of the Garden Club, these tours are designed for adults. For more information contact, request a tour here.
Is the Greenhouse open to the public? The Greenhouse is not open to the public. In a joint effort, The City of Grapevine and The Grapevine Garden Club joined funds to build the greenhouse in 2017. The facility serves educational purposes and propagates garden plants.
When is the next Plant Sale? Each year, the Grapevine Garden Club and the City of Grapevine host the plant sale at the garden. There are both indoor and outdoor plants, including heirloom plants from members’ gardens, perennials, succulents, butterfly hosts, hanging baskets, houseplants, yard art & garden accessories. Master gardeners will be on-site to provide information and recommendations. Proceeds from the sale benefit GGC’s scholarship & civic programs. Where is the Butterfly Statue or Transition to Beauty Sculpture located? Located inside the main entrance next to the Bessie Mitchell House.
Where is the children-releasing butterfly statue located? The New Season statue is located in the Garden Court.
