About the “Walking to Texas” sculpture in Grapevine, Texas
Made of limestone, the ”Walking to Texas” sculpture and fountain is a tribute to the pioneer families who came to the Grape Vine Prairie. The protective embrace of the father – the baby in the arms of the mother. The four horse heads on the fountain facing north, south, east, and west represent the four directions and the spirit of the American Indians.
