About Heritage Park
Heritage Park has no end of surprises for the history seeker and the casual park-goer alike.
In the North End of the park, you’ll find tennis courts to practice your serve or basketball courts to make a few three-pointers. The two ends of the park are separated by a large green field just waiting for your game of bocce, Frisbee, or tag. Throughout the park, you’ll find benches for quiet contemplation and picnic tables for your lunch or snacks.
A lovely rental pavilion is a great place for a special event, and the backdrop of the park makes for amazing photographs. Once a basket-making factory for cantaloupe farmers (yes, really), it’s now your ideal destination for family night, hanging out with friends, getting married, or just enjoying the shade of the trees.
The award-winning Botanical Gardens await you nearby if you have the time for bright blooms, delicate butterflies, and a pond filled with glittering koi. This park was honored in 2012 as a Lonestar Legacy Park.
