Grapevine Baseball & Softball Rec All Star Tournaments
This tournament is designed for the true baseball or softball recreational All-Star team. All-Star teams or sanctioned Rec teams are welcome — no club teams or independent teams allowed. No select players allowed, period! This includes players who have guest played on a select roster (USSSA, Travel Sports, NCS, Triple Crown, NTX, etc.) during the current season (starting January 1, 2023). Only Rec classified teams are eligible.
Final approval of participating teams and rosters will be determined by Grapevine Parks and Recreation.
All teams will be play two (2) pool games with a single elimination bracket based on seeding from pool games.
Registration Updates: Registration opens May 1
This season all registration will go through PlayNCS.com. Coaches will be required to pay a one time $25 sanction fee (discounted from the $75 fee) in addition to the tournament registration fee for their division. During registration, coaches will be asked to complete a background check as a requirement for NCS tournaments.

Facility Rules for Grapevine Complexes
- NO METAL CLEATS on any field
- Teams are to remove all of their items from the dugouts and pick up their trash
- No sunflower seeds, spitting or chewing by teams or spectators
- No hanging cameras or other items on the backstop netting
Team Documentation
All teams are required to have team insurance. Please check with your city league or association to upload documentation of team insurance before purchasing through NCS.
– Team rosters are uploaded and submitted by the head coach through the NCS Software by Sunday prior to each tournament.
– Proof of team insurance must be uploaded on your team page on the NCS Software by Sunday prior to each tournament.
Birth certificates must be kept by coaches throughout the tournament and provided to the tournament staff if a protest has been made. Protests can be made at the time of the infraction with a $100 protest fee. If the protest is awarded, the protesting team will get their fee returned to them.
Game/Refund Information
Three game guarantee: two pool games followed by single elimination bracket play
- Awards given to the 1st and 2nd place in each division
- The event registration fee must be paid to confirm your team’s spot in the tournament. Teams that choose to pay later may be moved to the waitlist if other teams register and pay before them, regardless of when they register.
NO REFUND AFTER GAME TIMES ARE POSTED! The $75 administrative fee will not be refunded after the tournament starts. All refunds are determined as follows (Fee minus the $75 administrative divided by game guarantee), any game started counts as a game played.
Full refunds will be given if the tournament is canceled due to weather before the tournament starts. The NCS sanction fee will not be refunded if the tournament is canceled due to weather.
